Uncomfortable with the recent policies put in place by Governor Rochas Okorocha government, the Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has faulted the governor on the recently launched Imo Security network, especially their alleged use to manhandle some local council chiefs in the state.
Addressing journalists at the weekend in Owerri, the chairman of the party in the state, Chief Eze Duruiheoma (SAN), said that the law against private persons bearing arms was still in place, and yet to be relaxed.
Also, Duruiheoma faulted the ruling government of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for demolishing a primary school building without seeking the consent of tax payers.
Defending his administration’s stance, however, Okorocha said the launch of the security vigilance group was to sanitize the state and crush criminals, especially kidnappers. – Source
