Ladies and Gentlemen, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha – the 5th democratically elected Governor of Imo State

Today, May 7th 2011 marks the declaration of Victory for the 5th democratically elected Governor of Imo State; His Excellency Owelle Anayo, Rochas Okorocha.My heart is overjoyed and I am moved to tears as I write. Mixed feelings. Tears of Joy and Tears of sorrow as Childhood relationships built over the years were destroyed in just weeks. From being called a Traitor, Spy , and what have you? I made so many enemies….. At the end of the day, I have no regrets. I’m glad I stood my grounds.

I would stand anywhere to affirm my support for a leader who is loved by his people. All along, he was the lone man standing. When doors were slammed in his face, he kept pushing and fought his way through to Victory. Your Excellency Sir, as today marks the end a long journey with the Campaign team, it is also beginning of an interesting journey with the Imolites. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “No man is good enough to govern another man without his consent. You are the chosen one.

With all due respect Sir, to whom much is given, much is expected in return.We will hold Your Excellency accountable to every promise on your Manifesto. I am honored to be the first MEDIA person to release the interview from your Chief of Staff representing your Vision for the State.I believe that everything you promised is achieveable within a four year term.May the Almighty give you the Wisdom to govern us.
