Governor Okorocha has decried the wanton killing of Igbos in Nigerian project saying that in every sacrificed, Igbos blood have been shed just for the unity of the nation called Nigeria as he lamented the death of ndi Imo that died in the ill fated Dana Airplane who were said to constitute twenty percent of the entire passengers on board.

Rising from a Special Valedictory Service in honour of the departed Imolites who met their sudden death in the Dana Air accident, as a mark of honour, Imo State Government has moved to immortalize them by building a park to be named 3/6 in remembrance of the dark day.

The event which took place in Sam Mbakwe Chamber, started with a motion relaxing the Executive Council eight laws as postulated and handled by Attorney general of the State to allow the corpse of Professor Celestine Onwuliri to be brought in.

It was after that unanimous decision that motions on their immortalization, monetary and other issues that boarder on the welfare of the bereaved families were moved and adopted.

The house further moved for other non Executive members to participate in the valedictory service as family members and other members of the public including Journalists were allowed in.

The high point of the event was the adoption of assembling the best team of lawyers for legal fireworks should they Airline in question fall short of the expectation of the Imo people.

At the event, wife of the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Mrs. Chioma Ohakim was sited as she accompanied professor Viola Onwuliri, the Honourable Minister of State for External Affairs. Others in company were the children and family members of the victims.
