Abia State Govt cautions Rt.Hon.Uwajumogu over utterances against Gov.T.A Orji

Na wa o. According to this report, the Abia State Government yesterday has cautioned our House of Assembly Speaker , Rt.Hon Benjamin  Uwajimogu over what it called his unguarded and scathing remarks in a national newspaper  against Governor Theodore Orji.

Uwajimogu was alleged to have scored Orji low in performance and attributed it to the alleged call by Aba residents on Governor Rochas Okorocha to come and take over Abia state.

Speaking to journalists yesterday on the allegation, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue said Uwajimogu’s alleged remarks against his boss was inconsequential and fallacious, because there was never a time such call was made anywhere in the state, stressing that Governor Orji has delivered and still delivering good governance to the people.

“Uwajimogu is a Speaker that lacks the understanding of basic rudiments of democratic governance. So rather than concentrate and run his house, he was busy running after contracts for himself and his cronies.

“I believe that if he is worthy of his position and knows his onions, he would not go about making frivolous and unfounded remarks against Abia State governor and the people of the state, especially where there is no issues at stake between the two states at the moment and before now,” Emezue said.

He said that such remarks were not worthy of responding to, but there was need to put the record straight to avoid the misinforming of the unsuspecting publics by the Speaker.

“The Government of Abia state will not join issues with the Speaker, until when somebody of significance in Imo State government speaks against us.’ – Emezue

In the Political hierachy in Imo State, Speaker Uwajumogu is ranked #3  so what does Emezue mean by *until when somebody of significance in Imo State government speaks against us*?That’s an insult!

Will the Office of the Speaker sweep this under the carpet or will Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha do what he knows how to do best with a rejoinder?

STAY TUNED
