INEC declares Imo governorship elections inconclusive.
The Independent National Electoral commission has declared the results from the just concluded governorship elections inconclusive. Here’s where things stand:
All Progressive Congress – 385, 671 votes.
Peoples Democratic Party – 306,142
Margin – 79,529
Cancelled votes: 144, 715. The electoral commission declared the results inconclusive on the basis that the number of cancelled votes exceeded the winning margin. Details to follow.
UPDATE: In a phone interview with Channels TV, Governor Okorocha said that if the election had been conducted free and fair, it would not be possible for his opponent to gather up to 100,000 votes.

Meanwhile, the APGA candidate, Capt.Emmanuel Iheanacho has rejected the results. He is seeking an outright cancellation of the exercise.
