Contrary to the false story making rounds, IMO STATE BLOG can confirm that the Hon.Commissioner for Lands, Chief Uche Nwosu is nowhere near police custody. Never was.
A story that failed to go viral alleged that Nwosu was arrested in possession of election materials on Friday evening.
We placed a phone call across to the Hon.Commissioner. It rang out without answer. About 20 minutes later, Hon. Nwosu returned the call . When asked about the rumour, he dismissed the story in his usual calm manner and even joked about it.
Biko nu, rather than peddle fabricated stories around, let us devote that time to praying for a peaceful supplementary election and also prepare our minds to accept the outcome. Politics is a game of numbers and not a do – or – die affair.
