No Ban on Remarriage: Executors Clarify Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu’s Will
In response to a widely circulated and misleading story suggesting that the late, Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo), barred his wife from remarrying in his Will, the Executors of his Estate have issued a formal statement firmly denying the false claims.
The statement, made available to IMO STATE BLOG, described the story as false, malicious, and deeply disrespectful. It stated clearly that no such condition exists in Chief Iwuanyanwu’s Will and Testament.
The Executors condemned what they described as an attempt to distort the legacy of a man who lived with honour and treated his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Frances Iwuanyanwu, with respect throughout their union.
They further called on the public and media outlets to refrain from spreading damaging falsehoods intended to ridicule the family, especially during a period of mourning, and warned that legal action may be taken where necessary.
