Hon. Bethel Amadi becomes President of the Pan African Parliament.
One of our distinguished Politicians in Imo State, Hon. Bethel Amadi was elected President of the Pan African Parliament on Monday, May 28th 2012.
Prior to this election, Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka Amadi was a former First Vice-President to former president Dr. Moussa Idriss Ndélé. He ran unopposed following the withdrawal of Tunisia’s Béchir Chammam. In his maiden address as President of the Pan African Parliament, Hon. Amadi pledged to speak in one language, the language of Pan Africanism.
“I stand before you today emboldened by our shared determination for unity and inspired by our collective aspiration for continental solidarity, and I declare to you that as President of the Pan African Parliament I shall speak one language, the language of Pan Africanism. One Africa, One Voice”
Hon. Bethel Amadi who currently represents the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives will serve as President of the Pan African Parliament for the next three years.
