10 Monarchs in Imo state suspended indefinitely for disobedience.
Ten Royal fathers have been suspended indefinitely by the Imo State government. According to a press statement issued from the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir George Eche, the monarchs were suspended for alleged disobedience, indiscipline and active participation in partisan politics.
The suspended royal fathers are:
Eze Ben Nwaneri of Owubinubi autonomous community, Ikeduru LGA
Eze Clifford Amadi of Amawuihe Ubomiri autonomous community, Mbaitoli LGA
Eze V. O. Ahamefule of Oboro Amurie autonomous community, Isu LGA
Eze A. E. A. Durueburuo of Okwudor autonomous community in Njaba LGA
Eze Reginald Amadi of Obetiti Nguru community in Aboh Mbaise LGA
Eze Akujuobi Osuagwu of Awaka community in Owerri North LGA
Eze Fionna Iriele of Ogberuru autonomous community in Orlu LGA
The rest are Eze D. O. Izim of Umunkwo community in Isiala Mbano LGA
Eze Innocent Ikejiofor of Amandugba autonomous community in Isu LGA
and Eze Chinedu Osuebi of Azara Obiato in Mbaitoli LGA
The Commissioner for Community Government Council and Traditional Institution has also been directed to retrieve their certificates and staff of office with immediate alacrity.
