Most Imolites home and abroad are yet to understand the essence of the proposed 4th Tier government by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The other day we learnt the Bill was returned to the Governor. Then recently it was announced that the Imo State Government has begun redeploying Civil servants to their various communities to form the 4Th tier Government. So, what are we to believe?
Seeking clarification, IMO STATE BLOG made contact with Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu. In very few words, Speaker Uwajumogu disclosed that the 4th tier government bill was being redrafted and would be represented. Explaining further, he said that if it passes the 1st and 2nd readings, the Bill would be sent to a committee of the House to organize a public hearing after which it will be presented to the whole House to debate on.
Now that we have heard directly from the Speaker of the State House of Assembly , perhaps it is safe to sheath our swords and allow the Legislators do their work. But then again, shouldn’t the redeployment of Civil Servants to the rural communities have waited for the Bill to pass through the House of Assembly? #wondering out loud.
What sayeth thee?
