Still on this issue of Bianca Ojukwu’s Ambassadorial nomination. How does one begin to digest it? For goodness sake, Ikemba Ojukwu’s body is still lying cold in the mortuary. It has not been one week since he passed.
As a matter of fact, there is yet to be an official statement on his burial arrangement let alone, calculating the mourning period. Why are we trying to politicize Ojukwu’s death by nominating his wife, Bianca as an Ambassador? Why now?
That was how Madam Bianca was appointed as Senior Special Assistant (DIASPORA AFFAIRS) when the late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu got admitted into Hospital. Not minding the psychological state of mind a wife finds herself in when her husband is bedridden, President Jonathan deemed her fit to hold that appointment. How effective she was in that position, we do not know. Afterall, what gives any Nigerian the right to question the Presidents judgement? Who born you?? LOL!!!
Now, whether we like it or not, she will be confirmed as an Ambassador. She is even listed in the “Special Category” That says it all. Special Category that what happened?
If Lady Bianca was so qualified, why was she not among those honoured with the National Award?
2010, she no follow, 2011, she no follow…. VOOOOOOOOOM!!! she gets nominated out of nowhere to be made Ambassador barely days after her husbands death. Odikwa egwu o!!!!
These are the sort of actions many can easily interprete as “cheap publicity stunt “to appease the Igbo’s. In my humble opinion, if President Jonathan likes, let him send people to the moon to give Ojukwu a 21 gun salute from there, the only way he can appease the Igbo’s (If he really cares about Ojukwu’s legacy) is for him to hand over to an Igbo President come 2015. Shikena! Not by appointing his widow an Ambassador. Enough of the politics abeg; some of us are not impressed. HO HA!
My mouth shut up before you land me in Kirikiri biko.
