These kidnappers in Nigeria will not allow us to hear word! It appears they are gradually shifting operations out of Imo. Today’s report comes out of Delta State. According to this publication in the PUNCH, the dreaded kidnappers who picked up  Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s  75-year-old cousin on Thursday demanded N50 cool million  before his release.

The kidnappers had struck on a day the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, was receiving patrol vehicles purchased by the state government in Asaba.

The PUNCH correspondent assigned to the story learnt that the kidnappers had already contacted the family to immediately pay the sum or risk the consequences.

In this piece being republished hereon IMOSTATBLOG.COM, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Charles Muka, a Deputy Superintendent of Police,  confirmed the development but said the police were against the payment of ransom to suspected criminals.

The victim’s son  who shares  the same name as the governor, denied that the kidnappers ever got in contact with the family  and also denied that a N50 million ransom had been demanded.
