Details from the meeting between Imo SUG Presidents and COS, Prince Eze Madumere.

On a recent courtesy call visit at the Government House, the group under the auspices of Council Student Union government  described Gov. Okorocha as a visionary leader who has shown reasonable concern for the future of the youths.

 

  According to the SUG President, of Imo State University (IMSU), Comr. Okoro Rex, who spoke on behalf of others, Gov. Okorocha has shown goodness to the students through the free education he declared to the tertiary level and other lofty programmes that have impacted positively on the students. He described Gov. Okorocha as a selfless leader whose rescue mission in the state is truly divine going by its performances and accomplishment within one year.

 

The Chief of Staff added that the free education programme of Gov. Okorocha was designed to secure a brighter future for students and promote knowledge in Imo, the brain box of the nation. He also urged them to shun anti-social vices capable of ruining their future by showing enough commitment to their studies.

Prince Madumere tasked the students to reciprocate Gov. Okorocha’s gesture to the students by exhibiting good behaviour. He admitted that of Gov. Okorocha’s mandate was made possible by the massive support given to him by the students, market women, keke and taxi drivers, traders and others without the support of the few political elites that kept Imo in bondage before the emergence of the present administration. Madumere further explained that Gov. Okorocha’s government will remain committed in ensuring that dividend of democracy are spread in the nooks and crannies of the state.

He urged the students to always shut their doors against  discredited politicians who used students  as tools to ferment trouble. Also, he reiterated the commitment of Gov. Okorocha to always embark on people-oriented programmes that will continue to impact positively on the lives of the student and the people of the state.

The SUG presidents of Imo Poly, Comr. Ekeocha Sylvanus, Federal College of Land Resources (FECOLART), Comr. Anyabe Harry, Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Comr. Ekendu Otis also bared their mind on the government of Gov. Okorocha.
