Ghanaian President, John Attah Mills dies at 68.
A heavy cloak of darkness befell the Country of Ghana at the news of President John Attah Mills death this afternoon.
An unnamed aide at the Ghanaian Presidency disclosed that Pres. Mills complained of pains on Monday night however, no official statement on the cause of his death has been made.
Late Pres.Mills was scheduled to meet with Pres.Goodluck Jonathan today in Nigeria. He was at the Parliament yesterday to disclose his intention to embark on the one-day visit to Nigeria.
Aged 68, President Mills was set to run for a re-election in a few months. His death is recorded as the first Ghanaian President to have died in office dating back to the Country’s independence. As you read this, Vice President, John Mahama has been sworn in as Interim President.
Our heart goes out to his wife, Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, family and the entire Country of Ghana on their loss.
