The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will provide credible leadership and quicken the development of Nigeria in all sectors if it produces the next President in 2015. Speaking during the convention of the U.K chapter in London, Governor Rochas Okorocha said the entire country was waiting for a president of Igbo extraction and only APGA has the capacity to produce such a candidate.
” For us APGA is a religion and any Igbo man is first a member of this party before belonging to any other party. The two APGA states of Imo and Anambra have showed the way in terms of development and what can be achieved by our party if giving the opportunity at the national level”, he said.
Gov. Okorocha lamented that despite the human and material resources the country is blessed with, lack of quality leadership has stunted it’s growth and lead to widespread poverty in the country. He said that poverty is the leading cause of insecurity and promised that an APGA national government will reverse the present cause of decline in the country. APGA National Chairman Sir Victor Umeh said the strategy of the party is to capture all states in the southeast and produce the next occupant of Aso Rock in 2015.
He called on mass mobilization of supporters in the Diaspora and in Nigeria to enable the party achieve it’s objectives. Dignitaries who attended the event include former PDP senators Ani Okonkwo, Osita Izunaso, APGA leader Chief Martin Agbaso and several other party officials.
