Almost everyone is talking about the tragic death of Ugonna Omeronye. An indigene of Akatta in Oru East local government, Omeronye was the frontline person for the sacked 10,000 job scheme.
Word on the street is that Ugonna was sent to his early grave on the eve of the Governorship and State house of Assembly elections. On that fateful night, he had sent out mass messages to all the sacked beneficiaries campaigning for the Peoples Democratic Party in which he reminded them that a vote for the PDP candidate was a vote that would ensure the reinstatement of their jobs and also guarantee a safer future for them and their family members.
Family sources disclosed that the assailants came in a MATE 80 motorcycle with the registration number QD 415 WER .
