I cannot sell or trade the peace of the Igbo nation – Okorocha

The governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha, speaking in a small gathering in London vowed that though he may be willing to make sacrifices, peace and accommodate members of the political opposition groups of Igbo extraction, he will never compromise nor trade his commitment to protecting the corporate and cultural identity of Ndigbo and by inclusion, the Imo people.

Owelle Rochas Okorocha differed to the Unity of the Igbos as a course worth working for.

He however lamented the lack of patriotic leadership among the Igbos and the tendency of many in the political limelight to trade away Igbo interest on the platter of personal gains

He expressed his faith in the political development in Nigeria and the conviction that the evolving political platform in the Nation have offered Ndigbo another opportunity to return to the centre of the political and economic equation in the management of our national resources.
