The newly appointed Sole Administrators in Imo state have been sworn-in by Imo state government to oversee the activities of the 27 local government areas of Imo state.
Addressing the SOLADS shortly after their oath taking, the Secretary to the Imo state government, Prof. Anthony Anwuka stated that the appointment of the SOLADS was to fill the existing vacant in the LGAs of the state towards restoring normal council activities, pending the LGA election in the state.
Prof. Anwuka while urging them to make good use of the opportunity to serve the state, noted that any of them who fails to carry out his duties will be shown the way out.
He noted that the assignment given to them will make or mar their future political career, as people will henceforth expect the best in terms of service delivery.
Anwukah who also reminded them that the job expected of them tasking, urged them to show enough commitment in carrying out their functions as well as abide by the ideology of Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocah-led rescue mission administration.
He therefore charged them to carry out their job diligently to the glory of the state and the satisfaction of Imo people.
In his advice, the Chief of Staff to the Governor , Prince Eze Madumere charged them to carry out their duties as expected of them without fear or intimidation as the state will not tolerate failure.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Sole Administrator for Orlu LGA, Barr. Hyacinth Ikechukwu Mbachu thanked the state government for the confidence reposed in them and promised not to disappoint the state government.
The high point of the event was the oath-taking administered by the state ministry of justice.
However, out of the 27 newly appointed SOLADs in the state, 19 were sworn-in while the remaining 8 are yet to be cleared by the state House of Assembly.
The remaining 8 LGAs are Isiala Mbano, Ehime Mbano, Ezinihitte Mbaise,Ahiazu Mbaise, Isu, Onuimo, Owerri West, and Nwangele LGAs.
