Imo to become a “one-city” state – Governor Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has reiterated his commitment to make Imo a one-city state.

Speaking at All Progressive Grand Alliance campaign rally for Ahiazu/Ezinehitte Federal Constituency election re-run at Okpefe Central School,  Governor Rochas Okorocha asserted that the on-going massive road construction and other developmental projects across the state are aimed at making Imo a model one-city state.

Governor Rochas Okorocha explained that a vote given to APGA candidate, Engr Chidi Ibe in the forthcoming re-run election is a vote given to him and demonstration of support to Imo Rescue Mission government, arguing that an APGA candidate in the Federal House of Representative would accelerate developmental process in the state.

He added that APGA-led government belongs to the people especially Ndigbo and maintained that the party would not fail to empower the people it represents.

To this end the governor urged the people of the area to turn out en-mass and vote for Engr Chidi Ibe adding that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him.

In his remark, the state APGA Chairman, Prince Marshall Okeafor expressed confidence that APGA would win as it had always won in the last elections.

In a vote of thanks, the Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency APGA candidate, Engr  Chidi Ibe described the forthcoming election as one that would guarantee a superlative representation and promise to attract federal presence if elected.
