The Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Owerri Zone chapter, has thrown its weight behind Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, which they attributed to his sterling leadership qualities and his consistency in principle.
This statement was made when the group paid what they described a victory courtesy call to the Imo State number two citizen at his official residence in Owerri.
Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Rulers, the Chairman of the Traditional Rulers, Owerri Zone, HRH, Eze Chibudem Okoro, felicitated with the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere for their resounding victory in the last gubernatorial election with Imo Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
The leader of the Royal Fathers also commended the number two citizen’s sagacity and his celebrated effort during the last election to ensure a successful re-election bid of Rescue Mission.
Speaking further, he described the Achi-Mbieri born politician as a man whose loyalty has stood him out. His words; “Prince Eze is our great son who has remained a pride to Owerri Zone and Imo State in general. He is a role model even to the younger once for his unequal loyalty to his boss and the course of rescue mission government. Your loyalty and father and son relationship, which existed between you and our Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha created the needed stability in the system. This cannot be discounted as one of the reasons for the uncommon transformation experienced under first term of rescue Mission Government in office.”
The Ahiazu Royal father, Eze Chidubem, pleaded with the Imo Deputy Governor to remain steadfast in his leadership approach, which has rather pursued sustainable course than self-serving issues. He added that the Deputy Governor should rally round everyone to ensure Owerri Zone remains a place of vibrancy both politically and economically.
Responding to the Traditional Rulers who had about thirty of their members in attendance, Prince Madumere thanked them for their role in maintaining peace in their various communities.
He recounted the effort of the Rescue Mission Government, which through CGC returned government to the people, which re-launched Traditional Rulers back to their traditional roles and made them even more relevant.
He charged them to mobilize their people to queue into the Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission, which its policy plank for the second term in the office is creating an industrial base and jobs for the people of Imo State.
The highpoint of the courtesy call by Traditional Rulers was the prayer session where they prayed for God’s wisdom, guidance and protection as he co-pilots the State with Governor Okorocha to a greater height.
