IMSG to relocate 30,000+ shoe makers; set to build 4,000 industrial shops cluster

Governor Rochas Okorocha has approved the relocation of  over 30,000 indeginous shoe, leather and allied products manufacturers in the state. This was disclosed by His Excellency when he received members of the Imo State Leather & Allied product manufacturers association at the Government House.   He said that his administration will embark on the construction of 4,000 capacity shops of industrial cluster to enable Imo citizens in that line of trade return to the state and make significant contributions to the economic development of Imo.

The governor said that having assured him of returning to the state, his administration will ensure that the cluster is completed in a very short period, adding that both the land and the fund for the construction of the cluster will be provided before the first quarter of the year.
