Message from Rt.Hon Emeka Ihedioha
Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon Emeka Ihedioha has broken his silence on the decision of INEC to declare the Imo governorship elections inconclusive. In a message to his supporters, he thanked them for being steadfast and assured that any attempt to steal their mandate would be resisted.
“Beautiful Monday morning to you all my dear friends. I thank you for your steadfast show of support towards our quest to Rebuild Imo Together. Although events have moved at a speed in the last 48hrs, I make this post to encourage you to stay strong and remain committed to our cause. Be assured that any attempt to steal our mandate overwhelmingly given by the good people of Imo state will not stand.
Although the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the election inconclusive and will organize a rerun in some places, we are pursuing several legal and legitimate means to retrieve our ballots wrongfully allocated to the opposition candidate. I am confident that we will triumph at the end as injustice and darkness cannot prevail over justice and light. Stay with us. We are close to the finishing line of the race. God bless Imo State.
