Governor Rochas Okorocha has assured that over 3000 kilometers of road projects embarked upon by his administration will be completed before the expiration of his tenure.
He gave the assurance while inspecting some ongoing road projects in the State yesterday. According to him, as soon as the rains are over, the State government will asphalt the ‘group A’ roads which are about 60% – 70% completed while those of ‘group B’ roads will have surface dressing and ‘group C’ roads will be graded to appreciable levels.
He however expressed optimism that with the opening of all access roads in the State, economic and commercial strength of the State will increase to an enviable level to attract more investors in the State.
The governor was accompanied to the inspection tour by the Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Works, Sir Jude Agbaso and some members of the State Executive Council.
