Governor Rochas Okorocha has disclosed plans by the State government to build a befitting permanent orientation camp for the NYSC in Imo State.
His Excellency stated this while declaring the official closing for the orientation course for the 2013 Batch ‘A’ corps members deployed to Imo state at NYSC Orientation Camp at Umudi, Nkwerre Local Government Area, Imo State.
He said that the delay in building a befitting camp was as a result of politics in getting a suitable land space and the refusal of Umudi community to allow the relocation of the camp out of their community to another place. Well, the issues have been resolved and Umudi community has provided a piece of land for the camp.
According to the official release which was made available to IMO STATE BLOG, the highlight of the occasion was the announcement of Ten Thousand Naira monthly allowance to all the corps members posted to all government agencies and community councils. He also approved the immediate release of N6.5Million food subsidy allowance for the corps members.
