Late King Emmanuel Emenyonu Njemanze was buried amidst fanfare on June 10th. Born on the 20th July in 1934, His Royal Majesty was the Ozuruigbo 5th by title and the 8th King Njemanze to ascend the throne. Ozuruigbo who joined his ancestors in the first week of May takes his place in history as the 11th monarch of the Owere Royal Dynasty.
There were flag stops around the city where his body was received by various groups. The Commendation service was presided over by the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Owerri, Rt. Rev.Dr. Cyril Okorocha at CATOL.
