RE: Imo State Finance Commissioner & Accountant-General rumble with EFCC in custody.
Yesterday the internet was awash with news that the EFCC had taken the Imo State Commisioner for Finance, Deacon Chike Okafor and State Accountant General , Eche Ezenna George into custody. According to the reports, they were being grilled by the men of the EFCC over a withdrawal of a N47 Billion loan.
A statement released by the Imo State Government said that the EFCC must have been misinformed over the alleged N47 Billion naira loan which was an allegation by the former local government chairmen . The statement further disclosed that no such facility was taken by the Okorocha administration.
