Udenwa settles with EFCC, agress to return N350million to FG in 2 weeks.
So according to Sahara Reporters, former Imo state governor, Chief Achike Udenwa was arrested on Tuesday and grilled for several hours by the EFCC at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency in Abuja.
Udenwa is said to have received N350 million which was diverted by the Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization in 2015.
He allegedly admitted to the EFCC that he received the money from embattled former finance minister, Esther Nenadi Usman, who served as the Director of Finance for the Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization.
Chief Udenwa, who served as the governor of Imo state from 1999 to 2007 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was later released by the anti-graft agency after signing an agreement to pay back the N350 million to the federal government in two weeks.
