American City of Newark, New Jersey pledges Economic assistance to Imo State.
According to a Press Release signed by the Honourable Commissioner of Information & Strategy, Mr. Chinedu Offor, the City of Newark, New Jersey has pledged to assist Imo State in Infrastructural development, Education and Development!!!
More details from the statement read as follows:
Making the pledge during a visit by Gov. Rochas Okorocha, Vice President of the City of Newark, Mildred Trump promised to work towards strengthening cultural ties.
” Imo State and the state of New Jersey shares a lot in common. I believe with mutual cooperation,we will achieve mutual benefit for the people of both states who share the same ancestral link to Africa”
Ms.Trump who expressed the readiness of buisness men from the State of New Jersey to explore the potentials of Imo State promised to help the state achieve its full potentials by linking it up with other State> Governments and businesses in the United States.
The Council woman said a practical demonstration of the City’s desire to partner with Imo State is its decision to award Governor Okorocha its highest civilian honor – The Medal of Hope and an Honorary member of the City council – the first African leader to earn such title.
