Justice Mukhtar’s emergence, a milestone for Nigerian women – Ekweremadu
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has lauded the emergence of Justice Mariam Aloma Mukhtar as the Chief Justice of Nigeria, describing it as a milestone for the Nigerian women and judiciary.
Ekweremadu stated this in a congratulatory message to the new Chief Justice.
The Deputy President further said:
“It is heart-warming that this honour is coming to someone of high pedigree, proven integrity and impeccable antecedents as your person.
“Your in-depth knowledge of the judiciary and frank admission of the critical challenges facing it when you appeared before the Senate remain clear indications that you possess the needed ideas and audacity to effect far-reaching reforms that would reposition this critical arm of government.”
Senator Ekweremadu prayed God to grant her the sound courage, wisdom, and grace to make her tenure a glorious era in the history of the nation’s judiciary.
