Battle for PDP BoT Chairmanship: In defense of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu

A long debate followed the commentary below by Louis Kachi Igwuilo on our online community page where he questioned what the intention of the highly revered Chief  to join the battle for the chairmanship of the PDP Board of Trustees.

“Funny to hear that Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is one of the contenders for this exalted office of Board of Trustee chairman.
My question is : What in Iwuanyanwu’s entire life is to be TRUSTED to warrant him chairing a board of trustee of even his family meeting? I need answer from Ikeduru people where he comes from, from Owerri zone, from Imo state, from the entire south east and indeed from the entire Nigerians. Or does he just want to contest so as to maintain continuous relevance in Nigerian politics?”

In defense of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, one voice rose above the negative reactions.

Vitalis Nwaogu wrote:

Chief Iwuanyanwu is the most qualified Igbo man to vie for highest position in his party or indeed the presidency of the country if he so wishes.

We never appreciate what we have until we loose it. As a well trained engineer he floated a construction company. As a businessman he founded so many companies. When owning glass houses was in vogue he built one and the only glass house in Owerri.

He floated an airline to represent Ndi Igbo in the industry. He has contested the highest position of presidency in this country. He represents Ndi Igbo in many forums in politics. We must learn to respect our leaders. He is a true Igbo leader that should deserve all respect from all of us. Aha e ji eje mba, ride on .

Don’t mind little minds.

Good people of Ikeduru and Imo State at large, is Vitalis Nwaogu speaking for the majority or is he speaking for himself?
