Commissioner for Lands, Mr.Uche Nwosu is open for questions.

The Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Survey & Urban Development, Mr.Uche Nwosu will be answering questions related to his Ministry.

He has graciously accepted to take time from out to address issues we present here and set the records straight on the controversies surrounding the on going demolitions, issuance of Certificates of Occupancy among others.

There is an empty land at the back of the Owerri Building And Allied Industrial Market, how is the land allocatted? Cos a lot of traders in that market did not receive any allocation.

Thanks Oluchi, no land in the state that is not been allocated, any body occupying government land is their temporary.

What is ‘gracious acceptance’ in Commissioner’s giving account of stewardship? Is it not a legal and political requirement for public appointees to give accounts of their performance?

May be Ndi Imo are now supine subjects at the mercy of a inclement dictatorship lording it over them like in Jurassic Park town council.

Imo State Blog, you must be mindful of your brand and image. Only you can damage it. Products of strategic values must be managed with subtle maneuver of objectivity.

Honourable Commissioner Sir, we are aware of the supposed digitization of Land information system, re-certification and issuance of C of O’s in the State. What is actually holding the newly instituted Imo State Geographic Information Agency(IGIA) responsible for the said tasks from being fully operational and rendering services to the public?

Sometime in the early 90’s the federal housing authority in imostate allocated lands to imo citizens who were made to make deposits in liue of a house the will be given to them and in reture finish paying for the house over a long period of time.this never materialised and during the ohakim regime took over the land developed it and allocated it among themselves with total disregard to the people that made deposits to the land.the land in question is the EGBEADA HOUSING ESTATE OFF AMAKOHIA ROAD OWERRI.what can your ministry do to help solve this issue because no one seem to be intrested in it.saying that the original depositor will be given the same amount they deposited over 20 yrs ago is like saying that you want to buy a brand new 504 pegeout car today at the price it was bought in 1985 which may be about 20000 naira.it will be fair to address the issue before you go.thanks

Sir, my uncle and I paid the sum of N10,000 each for land allocation if I am right during Ohakim’s administration. I really need to understand what happened to the land Imo people paid for. How were they allocated sir?
