EDUCATION: E-learning programme flagged off in Imo State.

Governor  Rochas Okorocha, has flagged off the state e-learning programme with the inauguration of the computer classroom of Girls Secondary Technical School, Ubulu, Njaba Local Government Areas.

The Governor said that such computer classrooms would be established in over 2000 primary and secondary schools of the state in the bid to ensure that every child in Imo becomes computer literate.

He enjoined teachers, students and the host community to take advantage of the over 30 capacity, internet – enabled, computer classroom to advance their general knowledge.

Governor Okorocha promised the students that the state government would provide the necessary facility for teaching and learning and enjoined them to always take their studies seriously to achieve a brighter future.

Consultant to the project, Mr Mali Suncoza disclosed that the computer classrooms could be used to teach every course in schools and would be manned by trained staff of the state schools.


Mr Suncoza added that his company is installing five computer
classrooms every week in five different schools and is targeting the completion of the project with one year.
