Governor Okorocha promises to make Okigwe a mega-city.
Governor Rochas Okorocha has promised that his administration would make the town of Okigwe a mega-city through the development of essential social and economic infrastructure in the area.
According to information contained in a communique from the State House, Gov. Okorocha disclosed this while speaking with a crowd at the Okigwe Main Motor Park as part of the 2012 prayer summit event for the Okigwe zone.
Nna anyi ukwu promised that the people of Okigwe Zone will enjoy a 5 star hotel and other facilities. In the same breath, he urged the people of to bear with the State government over the demolition of structures in order to accommodate the construction works in the zone. While assuring the people that they will be compensated, he also said that the government would look into issues concerning their basic needs and make provisions to address them.
Engr. Ifeanyi Ukachu, who serves as SSA to Gov.Okorocha on Mayoral Affairs (Okigwe) was the organizer of the prayer summit. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to Gov.Okorocha for making out time to attend the prayer summit. He prayed for God’s intervention in the affairs of the Okigwe zone.
