Imo Speaker, Rt.Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu mourns Dana Crash victims; postpones anniversary.
As a mark of respect to the victims of the Dana Plane crash on Sunday, Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Benjamin Uwajumogu has postponed all the activities to mark the one year of the present Imo State House of Assembly scheduled for today, June 7th 2012.
In a Press statement signed by Media Aide, Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, the Rt.Hon Uwajumogu called on the affected families and Imo people to bear these great losses with the assurance that Almighty God will grant them eternal rest.
“In view of the unfortunate situation in the state and the country at large, it would be unethical, insensitive and indeed morally wrong for us to continue with the activities to mark our one year of inauguration on the 7th of June 2012. We therefore join millions of our citizens to mourn the departed souls”. He said.
