Imo State Government in preparation to consolidate it’s effort in Rural Development through Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP).
As part of the preparetion to get the project off the ground, on Monday afternoon at the instance of the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Prince Madumere, the Deputy Governor of Imo State handed over an operational vehicle to the Imo State Coordinator of Rural Access and Mobility Project, Engr. J.C Uzor for the project implementation unit.
Rural Access and Mobility Project is a World Bank assured Project, which is focused in Rural Development especially in the area of Roads. This is chiefly for the purposes of easy transportation of farm produce and development of agro based industries in the rural areas.
It will be recalled that Imo State Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha has paved over 500 kilometers of roads since the inception of his Rescue Mission Administration. It is on this strength that Imo State was able to qualified among few other States in Nigeria.
