Imo State Government set to launch Emergency Rapid Response scheme.

As part of its efforts to restore sanity and crime Free State, the Imo state government has concluded arrangements to launch the emergency rapid response scheme in the state to reduce kidnapping and other societal ills to the barest minimum. Governor Okorocha, made this known when the new Imo State commissioner of Police, Mr. B.A. Bolanta paid him a visit at Government House, Owerri.

Gov. Okorocha  informed the new Police commissioner that he will request for more policemen from the Inspector General of Police in the state in view of the fact that more Policemen are needed in the state especially in the local government areas. He noted that the challenges in Imo state were kidnapping, pipeline vandalization amongst others and urged  the new Police Commissioner to brace up to the challenges for a better Imo state.

His Excellency  assured the new police boss that the state government would assist the command to complete the fencing project that is ongoing in the police barracks as well as the road construction leading to the station as well as assist them to get modern communication gadgets. He urged the Police Commissioner to ensure that the yuletide will be a crime free one for Imo people who are coming back for the Christmas holidays will have a good celebration.

Earlier in his speech, the new police commissioner, CP Bolanta, commended Governor Rochas Okorocha for his monumental achievements in the area of infrastructure and the support he has been giving to Imo state police. He appealed to the state government to assist them complete the fencing project that is going on in the barracks, improve on their communication gadget s and complete the road construction that leads to the police station.
