The people of Umunahu Uratta, and Umudagu Mbieri have heaved a sigh of relief as government embarks on aggressive rehabilitation of their roads just as the people of Umunkwo Obazu Mbieri wait for their turn.
Speaking during an inspection tour of the ongoing road works at Umunahu Uratta, Owerri North LGA and Umudagu Mbieri of Mbaitoli LGA, the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha said he was in a hurry to give the people a sense of belonging and restore their hopes which they lost in previous administrations for neglecting them.
Owelle Okorocha said drainages will be provided on the roads and ordered the Contractors to complete the work within the next three weeks before the rains set. He also advised the people of the areas to cooperate with the contractors by cleaning the gutters in front of their houses regularly.
The Rescue Mission Governor said he is poised to make roads leading to every Local Government Area Headquarters motorable by having them tarred including the link roads adding that the Rescue Mission government was bent on bringing dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the State.
