Imo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a foreign company, CCV Hi-Tech Company Ltd for the production of fertilizer in line with the rescue mission administration’s job job, factory, factory, industry, industry, employment, employment vision in the state.
Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu who represented the state government during the signing of the MoU in his Cabinet Office, along Sam Mbakwe Road, Owerri on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015, advised the company not to disappoint in their bid to remain good business partners with government.
Sir Ejiogu while expressing optimism that when the factory commences operation, it would alleviate the sufferings of Imo farmers by providing fertilizer for them in a reduced cost and as well, create employment opportunity for the teeming youths in the state.
He maintained that the factory will be sited at the Imo Industrial Park, Ohaji Egbema local government area of the state, is expected to produce five hundred metric tons of fertilizer every year, and appealed to the host community to support the idea.
Speaking on behalf of the company, Mr. Nguyem Kim Toaoa expressed happiness for the understanding with government, and assured that operation would commence within six months.
He commended Government efforts to industrialize the state, saying that his company would do everything possible to uphold their business image, and called on the people to give them every needed support to perform effectively.
