INEC declares Oguta re-run elections inconclusive.

The Imo State Resident Commissioner for Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Professor Seline Oko, has declared the result of the Oguta State constituency re-run election as inconclusive beacuse there was no result from eight polling units during the collation of the final results.

Speaking to journalists in Owerri,  Professor Oko said as at the time of final collation of the results, the difference between the first and second candidate is a total of 2,011 votes and as the Electoral Act stipulated, if the difference between the first and second candidate is lower than the number of registers voters that were disenfranchised, it is the duty of INEC to declare the elections inconclusive.
