Judiciary remains the last hope of the common man – Prince Eze Madumere

OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF

PRESS RELEASE

Chief of Staff to the Imo State Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has described the Judiciary as the last hope for the common man saying the judgement was not just for Governor Okorocha but for the good people of Imo State who had sacrificed everything to vote Governor Okorocha as their choice.

Speaking to the newsmen at the court premises immediately last Saturday, November 12, 2011 after the judgement delivered by the Chairman of the Election petition Tribunal, Justice Elizabeth N. Epojiwe, which declared the last supplementary election as legal thereby striking out PDP’s prayer for the declaration of the election as illegal, prince Eze Madumere commended the Judiciary for their doggedness and resolute to uphold justice.

The Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor averred that justice has been done as it was the expectation of the people despite ill placed and much touted misplace technicalities not known to any law. “We are happy with the outcome of the judgement. It is surprising that the same group that benefited from the same matter, which served as precedent should come back to contest the same matter that brought him to power. That is hypocritical.

The Rescue Agenda of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha must make its desired change, which is already changing the every facet our sociopolitical and economic life. This Government is born to set it right. This is victory for democracy. It is victory for common people of Imo State who came out en masse to vote His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, it is victory for good leadership and ultimately, it is a confirmation of God’s plan to make Imo State better. How can a right thinking person challenge the first ever democratically elected Governor in Nigeria?” He queried.

In his conclusion, Prince Eze Madumere called on the people of Imo State to continue to support Governor Okorocha’s led administration as it has come to rescue Imo State from the regimes of force and shackles of unrepentant cabal that has sworn to continue to hold the people of Imo State to the ground.
