Here are some pictures from the commissioning ceremony of the Imo Foundation complex and Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha Cancer Palliative Care centre. The Cancer Care Palliative centre is said to be the first of its kind in Nigeria.
In her speech, Director General of the Imo Foundation, Barr.Ngozi Njoku expressed gratitude to Governor Rochas Okorocha and the first lady, Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha for the realization of the project. She disclosed that since the inception of the Imo foundation, the agency has organized successful surgical programmes in collaboration with other Non profit organizations within Nigeria and in diaspora. Several patients according to Barr.Njoku have also been sponsored to India for medical treatment for ailments ranging from heart diseases, brain tumors, kidney transplant, bone marrow transplant to list a few. The facility also has a 20 bed guest house which will serve visiting doctors on free medical missions to the state.
