PROFILE: Commissioner Nominee, Mr. Chike John Okafor

Gov. Rochas Okorocha could not have been more on track in his Rescue Mission agenda with his selection of Mr. Chike John Okafor.   An erudite, urbane humble banker who started his career with All States Trust Bank in 1999.  He also worked with Oceanic Bank before joining the Zenith Bank, Plc in 2005.

 Mr. Chike Okafor is loved by everyone here in the Bank. He is experienced and has a  charming & charismatic personality. Very humble,  kind and generous to a fault. Above all, he is a committed Born Again Christian. 

He has touched the lives of so many people positively.  One thing I know for sure is that he has a burning passion for Imo State. I am very happy he made the Nomination list. I hope they give him the Finance Ministry because he will do very well.

Governor Okorocha will be pleased with him.

 I am not aware that Mr. Okafor has held any Political office prior to his nomination but, from what I gather, he is hugely popular at the grassroots level in his Local government, Obowo.

It is no surprise that  these qualities endeared him to the Executive Governor,  Rochas Okorocha. These are the kind of young vibrant leaders we need in governance.

 Mr. Chike John Okafor is an Alumni of the prestigeous Imo State University. He is an Economist by training and holds a Masters in Buisness Administration.
