Owerri Women Association, Houston TX applaud Gov.Okorocha on Security reform; Extol appointment of Prince Eze Madumere
A United States based Imo women group known as Owerri Women Association has commended the efforts of the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on the its renewed effort to bring to an end the crime rate in the State.
Speaking at the State House on Tuesday, october 6, 2011, the President of the women organization from Houston, Texas, Mrs. Rose Mgbeahuru, expressed happiness over the effort of the government so far saying that it has started well and should be encouraged to make a more meaningful impact to the people of Imo State.
Speaking further on security and the crime rate in Imo state, the women leader said that Imo people in the United States have been encouraged at the reduction of crime, which she linked to the Rescue Mission Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s candid effort to erase the crime especially that of kidnapping.
Mrs. Mgbeahuru further commended Governor Okorocha for appointing down-to-earth Chief of State whom she described as a calm, respectful, calm and meticulous personality in the person of Prince Eze Madumere. Her words, “The Owerri Women Association, Houston Texas, commends His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha over his appointment of Prince Eze Madumere as his Chief of Staff. He had been with us in the United States. We know him as a very cool headed and astute administrator and Manager of human resource. He is a worthy and illustrious son of Imo State.
Meanwhile, the women group leader encouraged Governor Okorocha and his team to do the much within their power to achieve a free and crime free Imo State where her sons and daughters can always come home whenever they so desire. She also highlighted the importance for which she described as a progressive society.
I will be recalled that Owelle Rochas led Government has recently launched Operation Rescue Imo Community Policing, which is already making impact in State as crime rate especially kidnapping is already reducing as the day go by. Governor Okorocha during that launching promised Imo people of safe, secure and progressive Imo State.
In his response, the Chief of Staff to Imo state Governor, prince Eze Madumere thanked the women group. Having been enthused by the recognition the US based organisation conferred on Imo State Governor and himself, he said that such encouragement is needed for its spiritual way of inspiring Rescue Mission Government led by His Excellency owelle Rochas Okorocha and the rest of the team. He reiterated governor Okorocha’s unwavering stand in making Imo State an enviable free progressive State. He promised to convey their message to the Governor. Prince Madumere further asked the women leader to take message the goodwill message of the Government to all the good people of Imo State in the US.
In his conclusion, while charging the Imolites abroad to be good Ambassadors of Imo State in particular and Nigeria at large, prince Madumere reminded that the government runs an open door policy thereby encouraging everyone who feels he has something to offer to so do as the government does its own by creating an enabling and conducive environment through its infrastructural development and prosperous investment frinedly policy thrust.
